The company ThyssenKrupp System Engineering develop, engineer and produce assembly robotics for motors and gears and deliver them worldwide to companies in the automobile and subcontracting industry. In Bremen-Farge they especially focus on the assembly engineering and testing solutions.
Worldwide they have 3700 employees in 12 countries and 4 continents . The company in Bremen-Farge has 804 employees, as well as 71 apprentices and 23 dual studies.
History
The company was founded by Johann A. Krause in 1950. When he started, he just had a little workshop in his garage and little by little the company grew. In 1964 the Johann A. Krause machinefactory GmbH got their first order to build a machine for Borgward. At this time they had 100 employees. Three years later they produced a testing machine for the car-factory Ford. In only three years the amount of employees had doubled. The first big order was a construction of an assembly line in 1988. One year later the company was taken over by ThyssenKrupp AG and from this point the company was called ThyssenKrupp Krause. In 2011 they finally became an official part of ThyssenKrupp System Engineering GmbH.
Apprenticeship Opportunities
The company offers 8 different apprenticeships in commercial, technical and mechanic department.
Industrial mechanic:
In this apprenticeship you will learn the basics about metal processing first. This is then followed by building industrial machines and constructions.
Duration: 3 1/2 years
Electronic technician for automation engeineering:
You'll learn the basics about electric engineering and how to build up an check simple switching mechanism.
Duration: 3 1/2 years
Industrial management assistant:
You'll learn about commercial and economic processes within the company.
You also need to understand and learn economical connections.
Duration: 3 years
Dual Studies
Machine construction:
You are doing an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic while visiting a university and doing your Bachelor in Engineering.
Electrical engineering:
Industrial engineering:
You are doing an apprenticeship as an industrial management assistant while doing you Bachelor in Engineering at a university.
You are doing an apprenticeship as an electronic technician while you are doing your Bachelor in Engineering at a university
At Thyssen Krupp System Engeneering you have the opportunity to do a dual study, which means that you are doing an apprenticeship in the company meanwhile you're doing a Bachelor at the university
Working requirements
First of all it is important to be motivated and creative as well as having team spirit.
If you want to do a dual study in this company you have to finish your A-Levels before applying.
For a technical apprenticeship you need mechanical skills and a comprehension for technical-functional connections.
You should have good grades in science and maths.
If you are more interested in an apprenticeship as an industrial management assistant you should have analytical-skills and organisational abilities.
